La bacteriorrodopsina (BR) es una prote\u00edna transmembrana 7 que act\u00faa como una bomba de protones impulsada por la luz en las arqueobacterias. Debido a su ligando coloreado unido covalentemente, BR se usa ampliamente como prote\u00edna de membrana de control, por ejemplo, para ensayos de cristalizaci\u00f3n y experimentos bioqu\u00edmicos\/biof\u00edsicos.
