Sus propiedades espectrales (Ex\/Em: 525 nm\/545 nm) y su gran rango din\u00e1mico hacen de ING-2 el mejor indicador de Na\u207a para aplicaciones de detecci\u00f3n de alto rendimiento dirigidas a canales de Na\u207a y canales de cationes monovalentes no selectivos. ING-2 tiene una afinidad fisiol\u00f3gicamente m\u00e1s relevante (Kd = 20 mM) que ING-1 (Kd = 92 mM).
